Solmax Americas (AMS) has commissioned an additional geomembrane manufacturing line at its Houston, Texas facility with a ribbon cutting and celebration. Solmax’s executive council joined Houston teammates to mark the occasion.
“Solmax Americas is focused on improving quality, reliability and flexibility of our geomembrane product offering,” said John Henderson, president of Solmax, AMS. “Not only have we invested in adding a production line into our Houston facility, but we’ve also made significant upgrades to our existing lines. Coupled with Houston’s proximity to material suppliers, we have strategically positioned Solmax to lead the geomembrane industry with advanced technology and commitment to manufacturing excellence.”
The Texas facility produces the HDPE and LLDPE geomembrane liners that make up the GSE product line. Approximately 130 teammates are employed at this facility, which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The location hosts an onsite testing facility and is home to Solmax’s custom fabrication team who craft polyethylene liners and components that are used in a range of containment applications. In addition to geomembranes, Houston also produces high-performance geonets and geocomposites in the FABRINET product line.
